Bracken Visit

On Friday, October 24, Lyle, Maquel, and Porter came to visit. It was so fun to have them down. I love being a mom, but I adore being a grandma. I sure wish they lived closer, but visiting with them all was so great. This is definitely picture overload (yes, I love to take pictures), so beware!

Friday night when they arrived, they had dinner at my house. Porter just eats table food now and takes a bottle just when he is tired. He is such a good little eater. And then Saturday, Lyle went on the mountain with my dad and Maquel got her hair done, so Kolar and I got to watch Porter. He is such a happy, cute baby.

Then, Sunday we had dinner at my mom and dad's house with everyone there. Porter was a little grumpy because he was not sleeping very well, but he loved pushing the chairs around.

Monday, Maquel and Lyle decided to get family pictures taken. I watched Porter for a little bit while they got ready, so of course, I had to take more pictures! He loved the way his shoes sounded on the cement steps, so he kept swinging his feet.

I took a couple of pictures at their family session with my cell phone, but didn't get any great ones. The first set of pictures, Porter was sitting on some steps. He saw a kitty and tried to grab it and ended up falling off and getting quite the bump on his head. Poor kid! But that kitty sure did help him to smile.

Then Maquel and Lyle decided to go on a hike with my dad and Dylan, so I took Porter home and tended him. He was so tired from all the pictures, that he fell asleep in the car on the way there. He woke up soooo happy from his nap.

On Tuesday morning, they went home. I am so blessed to have this sweet family in my family. Maquel and Lyle are such good parents. You can see the love they have for this amazing baby. I am so grateful that they took the time to come and visit us. I can't wait until Christmas when we will go up there and see their new house and visit them. I am truly blessed!
