From the time that Briona was born, Maquel and her were best friends. They were always playing together and just hanging out. Since Maquel was my only daughter, I think of Briona as my second daughter. They have grown up together and I have so many memories that I will cherish of the two of them. Here is a small tour down memory lane.
Right after Bri was born.
Just chillin and having fun.

Hanging out - love this picture.

Through all of the milestones in Maquel's life, Briona has always been there. She is a big part of our family - and I do consider her my own! Well, right after General Conference in April, Bri decided to move home and go on a mission. I am so proud of her for being brave enough to put her life in the Lord's hands for 18 months.
Well, we expected her call on Wednesday and when it didn't come we thought for sure it would come on Thursday and planned a big breakfast. Well, that didn't work out either. I was beginning to wonder if it got lost in the mail, but finally it came Friday, May 3rd. So we replanned our breakfast for that morning. We all got together at 10:00 to see where she was going.
Bri with her call - finally.
Kristy being anxious, while Clint was just getting mad.
Dylan ended up being at the BYU Invitational for track and was so disappointed that he couldn't be there. Simone was nice enough to call him on her phone so he could at least hear her opening her call. Clint was impatient and upset that we had to wait 15 minutes for everyone to show up, but finally everyone was there. Now the reading could begin.
The opening starts (Dylan is on the pink phone).
Reading the call.
Dear Sister Laws:
You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the California Roseville Mission. It is anticipated that you will serve for a period of 18 months. You should report to the Provo Missionary Training Center on Wednesday, July 24, 2013. You will prepare to preach the gospel in the English language.
Oh my heck - so excited!
Everyone looking at her papers.
The map of her mission.
I am so excited for her and all the blessings that she and her family will receive. I just know that having a missionary is going to be an amazing experience. Now my sister and I will get to experience so many things together and support each other while our kids our gone. So many amazing things happening in our family right now. Can't wait to see what is in store next!

I can't believe our kids are going to be going on missions within days of each other-AHHH-so scary but so exciting. I love that picture of Bri and Maquel hanging out on our front porch-those are some seriously cute girls! Thanks for being an amazing sister and sharing all of this with me-love ya!
