Skydiving!

Yes, our family is a little crazy sometimes, and loves adventure. For graduation, Dylan wanted to go skydiving with his dad and grandpa. So my dad got skydiving for his birthday, Dylan got it for graduation, and Kevin got it for Father's Day - some a little early, and others a little late. We got them all certificates to go in Moab. That way we don't have to drive a long way.

Well, we called and scheduled it for May 11, 2013 - right before Dylan's birthday. They were all so excited. But when we called them, we found out that only two people could go at a time. We really didn't want someone to have to go by themselves, so Dylan called Briona and asked her if she wanted to go. Of course she did and her mom was nice enough to buy her a ticket for her birthday.

I'm not sure anyone slept the night before. We were all so anxious. Once we got there, they had a ton of paper work for everyone to fill out, and then they go ready for the dive - the biggest rush of their lives!

Watching the movie.
 Cousins forever.
First suit was a little small - love his smile.
 Love these girls!
 Kolar just hanging out.
 Dylan suiting up.
 Father and son.
 Can't wait to go.
The whole family.
 My dad - awesome example.
 Bri suiting up.
 Kristy braiding her hair.
 Gramps suiting up.
 Just waiting.
 Grandpa and Bri.
 All ready to go.
 Mother and daughter.
 Watching others jump.
 Grandma and Dylan.
 Just happy.
Jordan can't wait to go - maybe next year for his birthday!
More watching and waiting.
 Thoughtful.
 Here we go.
  The plane.
 No turning back.
Waiting for the jump - Granny and Kol.
 Cousins hanging out.
 Best parents.
Not sure why I took this - but I love it.
Dylan.

 Finally on the ground.
Kevin.

And on the ground, too.
Both safe and sound - and couldn't stop smiling.
 Can we do it again?!
This is like seriously the happiest Kevin has been. Love this man!
  Briona.

 Bri landing.
Grandpa.

 Grandpa landing.
That was seriously the funnest ever!
 Safe and sound.
 All done.
Proof that we did it and survived!
After they were all done and we started to leave, the lady asked us to stay and wait for their pictures. According to her, it would only take 10-15 minutes. So we walked over to the terminal and waited . . . . . and waited . . . . . and waited. An hour later, they were done - but the pictures were so worth the wait. Each professional diver had a hand camera that took these amazing pictures.

Briona!

Kevin!

Dylan!

After all the excitement, we went to the Moab Diner for lunch. It was seriously a fun day. So glad that all of these people are in my life. Now that they have checked skydiving off their bucket list, I wonder what's next!

  2. The best part of the day was that these guys (and girl) were able to do this together. It is a memory they will never forget. I guess we have to thank Dylan for the idea.
